Corrections and additional information
Please include the page address, the detail you are questioning and a source supporting the correction. For ship identification, an IMO number, naval pennant number, builder’s number or dated photograph can help distinguish vessels with similar names.
If your information comes from personal experience, explain your connection to the ship and when you served aboard, visited or photographed her.
Photographs and documents
We welcome enquiries about photographs, plans and historical records that could improve the archive.
Before sending large files, email a description or a link to a preview. Include the creator’s name, the date and location if known, and the copyright or permission information.
Sending a file does not transfer your copyright or automatically authorise publication. We will agree the intended use and credit before publishing privately submitted material.
Copyright enquiries
If you believe an image or passage has been used incorrectly, send the page address, identify the material and explain your rights or authority to act for the rights holder.
Other enquiries
For permissions, editorial enquiries or potential collaborations, describe your request and include any relevant links.
We review messages as resources allow. We cannot promise individual research assistance or a fixed response time.
